In a classic Friday afternoon news dump, the Justice Department cleared the $110 billion Paramount-Warner Bros. Discovery deal. It's a significant win for Paramount and CEO David Ellison, but it's not smooth sailing quite yet. The European Commission and the United Kingdom’s Competition and Markets Authority have formally launched reviews of the deal. The EC and the U.S. Federal Communications Commission are also reviewing the foreign investment in the deal, with those investors set to account for 49.5% of the equity of the combined company.
