Yeah I finally tried that new coffee shop on Elm Street. Honestly it was pretty good. The espresso had a nice crema and the barista actually knew what they were doing. I got a cortado and it came out perfectly balanced. The vibe inside is cozy with those warm lights and exposed brick. They have these little pastries from a local bakery too. I tried the almond croissant and it was flaky and buttery. Not too sweet which I liked. The only downside was the wait time. It took about ten minutes which felt a bit long for a cortado. But overall I'd go back. Maybe next time I'll bring my laptop and get some work done. They have free wifi and plenty of outlets. 1Rocbt9Pgo The music was at a good volume too. Not blasting but enough to fill the silence. I think it could become a regular spot for me.
A friend mentioned they also do pour-overs on weekends so I might try that next time. The staff were friendly and the place was clean. Definitely worth another visit.

I went on that hike we talked about last weekend. The trail was a bit muddy from the rain the night before but it was manageable. We started early around 7am and the air was fresh and cool. Made it to the summit in about two hours. The view at the top was incredible. You could see the whole valley and the lake was shimmering in the morning light. We sat there for a while just enjoying the quiet. Packed some sandwiches and had breakfast up there. On the way down we saw a deer crossing the trail. It stopped and looked at us for a few seconds before bounding off into the trees. Overall it was a really good day. Took some photos but they probably don't do it justice. You should come with me next time. I think you'd enjoy the trail. It's moderate difficulty with some steep sections but nothing crazy.
We also stopped at a little farm stand on the way back and got some fresh apples. They were crisp and sweet. Made for a nice snack after the hike. Let me know if you want to go next weekend.
