Yeah I think the southeast corner is the best spot for the raised beds based on the soil test results we reviewed. The pH was balanced and the drainage looked good after that last heavy rain. We could start setting up the frames this Saturday if the weather holds and everyone is available. The north side needs more compost worked in before it will be ready for planting. I can bring the starter plants and some additional soil amendments if you handle the drip irrigation layout. Let me know your thoughts on the schedule for next week.

Also I checked on the tool shed situation and it looks like we could use another rake and a couple of hand trowels. The existing ones are getting worn out from all the use they have seen this season.

The ridge loop trail was in really good shape this weekend despite all the rain we had earlier in the week. A few muddy sections on the switchbacks but nothing too challenging if you are wearing proper boots with good grip. I would suggest starting early before the sun gets too intense on the open slopes. There is a nice shaded spot about halfway up with a great view of the valley where you can take a break. The summit views cleared up nicely once the morning haze burned off and it was well worth the early start time.

I checked the weather forecast for next weekend and it looks promising so far. Let me know if you want to head up there together and maybe bring a picnic to enjoy at the top.
