Thanks so much for the invite to the book club meeting next week! I finally finished the novel last night and honestly, the ending really surprised me. I didn't expect the main character to make that choice at the very end, it felt a bit rushed but also fitting. I have so many thoughts about the symbolism of the river and the old house.
