yes I think the best approach would be to start with the structural changes first. That way the foundation is solid before we layer on the decorative elements. I spent some time looking at the blueprints and I think if we adjust the framing slightly it will give us more flexibility with the layout. The team agreed that moving the support beams closer to the perimeter would open up the space considerably. the lasagna recipe turned out better than I expected actually. I layered the noodles with a mix of ricotta and spinach and used a homemade marinara that simmered for about three hours. The trick is to let it rest for at least fifteen minutes after baking so the slices hold their shape. I think next time I might add a bit more garlic to the ricotta mixture and perhaps some fresh basil on top. The leftovers were even better the next day after the flavors had more time to meld together in the fridge.
