Hey, thanks for your note about the hiking trip. I checked my calendar and next Saturday works perfectly for me. I was thinking we could start early, maybe around 7 AM, to beat the crowds and the heat. I'll bring some snacks and plenty of water. Let's aim for the Eagle Peak trail if you're up for a challenge. It's supposed to have amazing panoramic views at the summit. Alternatively, the Meadow Loop is much easier and great for taking photos of the wildflowers. What do you think? Let me know which one you prefer. I'm really looking forward to it. It's been ages since we last did something outdoorsy together, so it will be a nice change of pace. I might invite my cousin Sarah too, she's been wanting to get out of the city for a while. Let me know by Tuesday so I can plan accordingly.

Also, have you checked the park's website for any trail closures? I heard there might be some maintenance happening on the northern routes. Better safe than sorry. I'll bring the first aid kit and an extra map just in case. Let me know if you need me to pick up anything for the drive.

Hey, I finally got around to organizing my bookshelf by color and size. It looks pretty cool, like a rainbow. It took me the whole afternoon, but I found some old books I forgot I had. I started reading one of them last night, a mystery novel set in a small coastal town. The atmosphere is so well-written, I can almost smell the saltwater. By the way, have you tried that new bakery on Main Street? I heard their sourdough bread is incredible. Let me know if you want to grab a loaf this weekend. We can catch up properly then. I also wanted to ask if you've seen the latest season of that nature documentary series on Netflix. The cinematography is absolutely breathtaking, especially the episodes on the deep ocean creatures. Anyway, let me know about the books if you have any recommendations. I'm trying to expand my reading list for the fall.

I also started a new pottery class last Tuesday. It's surprisingly difficult but very relaxing. The instructor is this older lady who has been doing it for forty years. She makes it look so easy. My first few pieces came out a bit lopsided, but she says it takes time. I'll keep at it. Maybe I'll make you a mug for your birthday.
