Hey thanks for getting back to me. I was just thinking about the weekend plans and realized I never followed up on the trail conditions. I checked a few forums earlier and most people said the route is still good but there might be some muddy patches near the creek crossing. I'd recommend bringing an extra pair of socks just in case. Also, I wanted to ask if you're still good to bring the cooler or if I should grab it from my neighbor. Let me know what time you're thinking of heading out. I was aiming for around 7 but I can adjust if that's too early for you. The forecast looks decent with only a slight chance of showers in the afternoon but I think we'll be fine as long as we pack a light shell. I also heard they added a new picnic area near the trailhead so we might be able to grab a spot there if we arrive early enough. Anyway, let me know what you think and we can finalize the details. UhlHCOKmaLPGC I'm looking forward to it regardless, it's been a while since we got out.

I got your message about the book club meeting and I think Thursday evening works perfectly. I finished the novel last night and honestly the ending caught me off guard. I wasn't expecting the twist with the neighbor character but it made sense looking back at the early chapters. I jotted down a few notes for discussion. I also wanted to ask if you've seen the documentary series that someone mentioned at the last gathering. I started watching it and it's really well done. The cinematography is beautiful especially the episodes shot in the highlands. I'm planning to bring a few snacks to share maybe something simple like crackers and cheese. Let me know if there's anything specific you'd like me to bring. Also, I think Sarah mentioned she might bring her friend who just moved into the area. That could be nice to have a new perspective in the group. Anyway, just wanted to touch base and confirm the day. Talk soon.
