I talked to the venue coordinator this morning and they confirmed that the terrace can hold up to eighty people for a seated dinner which is more than enough for our group. They also mentioned that they have a backup indoor space in case the weather turns. We should probably finalize the menu choices by Thursday so the kitchen can prep accordingly. I am leaning toward the salmon option but I know a few people prefer the chicken. Let me send out a quick poll to the group this afternoon. Also they do have a sound system for the evening portion so we will not need to bring our own speakers. That should simplify things quite a bit. Let me know if you think of anything else we might be missing.

so I finally heard back from the contractor about the timeline for the kitchen renovation and it looks like they can start about three weeks from now which is earlier than I expected honestly. The estimate came in right around where we thought it would be so that is a relief. They are going to do the demo first and then the cabinets and countertops should take another week or so after that. I am trying to figure out where we will put the fridge and microwave during the work since the kitchen will be out of commission for a bit. The living room might end up looking like a temporary kitchen for a while. I think it will be worth it though.
