Yeah I finally got around to reading that book you lent me last month. I honestly didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. The characters felt so real and the way the author described the small town made me feel like I was there. I found myself staying up late just to finish one more chapter. The plot twists caught me off guard which rarely happens. I think my favorite part was the relationship between the two main characters and how it developed over time. Have you read anything else by that author? I'd love to borrow another recommendation if you have one. I'm trying to read more fiction this year and less news articles. I was chatting with my neighbor earlier about the community garden project and it sounds like they're making really good progress. They've got the raised beds built and the soil delivered. I volunteered to help with planting next weekend. I think I'm going to bring some tomato and pepper starts that I grew on my windowsill. It's been nice having a project like this to look forward to. The weather has been perfect for working outside lately. I'm also thinking about joining the book club that meets at the library on Tuesday evenings. A few people from the neighborhood are in it and they keep telling me I should come. I might give it a try next month when my schedule clears up a bit. It feels good to be getting more involved in things around here.
