Yeah I finally made it up to that trail we talked about last month. The weather was perfect and the views from the top were incredible. We started early around 6am and the mist was just lifting off the valley. Took about three hours to reach the summit with a few breaks along the way. The wildflowers were still blooming which surprised me for this late in the season. I packed way too much food as usual but better safe than sorry. The descent was trickier than I expected with all the loose gravel. Definitely need to get better hiking boots before the next trip. NXkK85DiGHBGRQ My knees were complaining for two days afterward but it was totally worth it. Let me know if you want to join next time I go.

I tried that pasta recipe you sent me and it turned out amazing. The sauce was so rich and flavorful I couldn't believe it came together in under 30 minutes. I added a bit more garlic than called for and used fresh basil from the garden. The key was letting the sauce simmer just long enough to thicken naturally. I served it with some crusty bread and a simple side salad with lemon vinaigrette. My family loved it and asked me to make it again next week. The leftovers were even better the next day. I'm thinking of trying the variation with mushrooms and spinach next time. Thanks for sharing the recipe it's definitely going into regular rotation.
