Hi Jenna, I wanted to follow up about the neighborhood garden project. The committee met last Thursday and we settled on planting the raised beds along the south side of the community center. That area gets the best afternoon sun and the soil drainage tests came back positive. We are looking at a weekend in early May for the build day. I checked the weather averages and mid-May seems reliable. I can send you the sign-up sheet if you would like to coordinate who brings tools. Let me know if you have thoughts on the layout. We were thinking three beds for vegetables and one for herbs.

Also, I heard back from the city about the permit for the small shed. They said as long as it stays under 120 square feet we do not need a formal review. That is good news. I am planning to order the lumber next week if the prices hold. Let me know if you want to split the cost. I think we can get it done in a day with four people.

Hi Mark, I looked into the scheduling for the volunteer training sessions next quarter. The conference room is available on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings. I think Tuesday would work better for most people since weekends tend to fill up fast with family plans. I reserved the room for the first three Tuesdays of next month from 6pm to 8pm. That gives us a solid window for the basics and some hands-on practice.

I also checked with facilities about the projector. They confirmed it is available and will set it up ahead of time. I will send a calendar invite later today.
