Thanks for asking about the project timeline. I spoke with Jenna this morning and she confirmed the contractor can start the first week of next month. They want to begin with the foundation work and get the framing up before the end of the quarter. We still need to finalize the material selections for the exterior. I was thinking we should go with the cedar siding option since it holds up better in our climate. The HOA board reviewed the plans and gave preliminary approval pending the final color palette. Let me know if you want me to send over the updated drawings. I can also schedule a site visit for next Tuesday afternoon if that works with your schedule. The structural engineer flagged a few items on the roof load calculations that need adjustment, nothing major though. I already reached out to the lumber supplier about the lead times for the custom trusses and they said six to eight weeks. We might want to order those soon to avoid any delays. Also, the surveyor is coming out on Thursday to mark the property lines. I'll send you the field notes once they're done.

I checked with the venue about the Saturday availability next month and they have the main hall open on the 23rd. The deposit would be refundable up to two weeks before. I think that date works well since the caterer said they have fewer bookings that weekend. We talked about the menu options and decided the buffet format would be simpler for everyone. They quoted a per-person rate that includes two entrees, three sides, salad, and bread. The coordinator mentioned they can accommodate dietary restrictions if we give them a head count at least five days prior. I also looked into the chair and table rental situation. The venue provides basic seating but we would need to upgrade if we want the nicer padded chairs. The linen company has a standard cream color that ships in three business days. Let me know if you want me to book the 23rd or if you prefer to look at the other date in early October. I can also ask about the sound system setup since the band needs at least four outlets on stage.
