oh yeah I totally get what you mean about finding a good hiking spot that isn't too crowded on weekends. A friend of mine swears by that trail near the reservoir but I've never actually tried it myself. I usually just stick to the loop around the park because it's close to my place and I can bring my dog along without worrying about traffic. The other day I bumped into someone who said they saw a family of deer just off the main path which sounds amazing honestly. I've been trying to get out more in the afternoons now that the weather is cooling down a bit. Let me know if you ever want to meet up for a walk somewhere new. I'm always down to explore a different route as long as there's coffee involved afterward. I've heard the northern section of the greenway is finally open again after all that construction so that might be worth checking out next time.

that movie we watched last night really stuck with me for some reason. I wasn't expecting the ending to go that direction at all but I think that's why I liked it so much. My brother had been telling me to check it out for months and I finally got around to it. He has pretty good taste in films honestly even though we don't agree on everything. I was thinking about rewatching it this weekend just to catch all the details I missed the first time. There was that one scene near the middle where the lighting changed so subtly that I almost didn't notice it but it totally set the mood for the rest of the story. I love when filmmakers put that kind of care into small moments. Anyway if you haven't seen it yet I'd recommend going in without reading too much about it first. The less you know the better it lands I think. I might try to find more movies by that director because the style really worked for me. Let me know if you end up watching it I'd be curious to hear what you think about the ending specifically.

Also I finally started reading that book a friend lent me like three months ago and I'm already halfway through. It's way more engaging than I expected given the slow first chapter. I guess sometimes you just have to push through the setup to get to the good parts.
