Actually, I totally forgot to reply to your message about the hiking trip last weekend. We ended up going to that trail near the lake and the weather was perfect. The whole loop took us about four hours with a few breaks. I saw some incredible wildflowers along the ridge. Have you ever tried camping in that area? My cousin mentioned there is a great spot about a mile past the overlook. I am thinking of going back next month with a proper tent and maybe a fishing rod. The water was crystal clear and I could see trout swimming near the shore. Let me know if you want to join because I am putting together a small group. We could bring our own gear and make a weekend out of it. The drive is only about two hours from the city so it is super convenient. I will send you the map link once I finalize the dates. Hey, I just got back from the community garden and the tomatoes are finally starting to ripen. I planted them back in early May and I was starting to think they would never come in. The basil is absolutely taking over though. I have way more than I can use. Do you know anyone who wants fresh pesto ingredients? I was thinking of trying to dry some of the leaves this weekend. Also, the zucchini plants are flowering like crazy so I expect a big harvest in a couple of weeks. I might try that grilled vegetable recipe you told me about last summer.
