Hey, how was your weekend? I tried that new hiking trail up near Pine Ridge and it was amazing – the views were totally worth the drive. We started early and finished just before the afternoon clouds rolled in. Speaking of planning, I finally sent back the RSVP for the reunion. Also, the little one loved the playground they have near the trailhead, so maybe we can do that again soon. I will bring snacks next time.

That reminds me – I finally fixed the sprinkler head in the backyard. Only took about twenty minutes once I found the right part at the hardware store. The grass is already looking greener. Let me know if you need help with yours. Also, I started reading that book you recommended. It’s a bit slow in the first few chapters but picks up nicely. I’m halfway through now. The character development is really strong. We should catch up over coffee next week—there’s a new place on Elm that roasts their own beans. I tried their pour-over and it was excellent.
