hey thanks for asking about the book! i really got into it over the weekend. the author has a way of describing scenes that just pulls you right in. i was up way later than i planned on tuesday finishing the last few chapters. let me know if you want to borrow it next. i think you'd really enjoy the main character's journey and the plot twists are pretty surprising. have you read anything by the same author before? this is my first one and now i want to check out their earlier stuff. the library hold list is pretty long though so maybe i will just buy a copy. what are you reading right now? i am always looking for recommendations. let me know what you think if you pick it up.

honestly the hike up to the old fire lookout was tougher than i expected but the view at the top made it totally worth it. we packed sandwiches and just sat up there for an hour watching the clouds roll through the valley. i found a really cool walking stick on the way down. definitely want to go back next month when the leaves start changing. my dog was completely worn out on the ride home. we saw a deer right at the trailhead which was a nice surprise. the trail was well marked but pretty steep in a few spots. i would recommend starting early in the morning before it gets too hot. the weather was perfect this weekend. hope you get a chance to check it out soon.
