I was talking to Sarah the other day about that book club we were considering joining and she said they meet every other Thursday at the community center. I thought it might be a good way to meet some new people in the neighborhood since we haven't really connected with many folks since moving in UVCZ2GBxI4. The current book they're reading is a mystery novel that got pretty good reviews online and I think it would be a fun change from the usual business books I've been buried in lately. Let me know if you'd be interested in checking it out together. We could grab coffee beforehand and then head over. Also I finally fixed that shelf in the garage that's been wobbly since we assembled it and it only took about twenty minutes once I found the right size screws. Sometimes the simplest projects end up being the most satisfying. I also finally organized the closet last weekend and found a bunch of old photos from our trip to the coast. It was a nice walk down memory lane honestly. We should plan another trip like that soon maybe when the weather warms up again.

I also wanted to mention that the new coffee shop downtown has an amazing cold brew and they use local beans. We should go check it out this weekend if you're free. Their pastries looked incredible too and I could use a good croissant. Let me know what you think.

I've been getting into potting plants lately and it's been surprisingly therapeutic. I started with some succulents because they're supposed to be easy but I think I might be overwatering them. The leaves are turning a bit yellow on one of them so I'm trying to ease up on the watering schedule. I picked up a few new pots from the local nursery last weekend and they had a sale on soil mixes so I stocked up. The person working there recommended a good fertilizer for indoor plants so I'm going to try that out. I also repotted my snake plant which was getting way too big for its container and it seems to be adjusting well. It's nice having some green around the apartment makes the space feel more alive. I might try growing some herbs next since we have that sunny windowsill in the kitchen that would work perfectly for basil and mint.

I also tried a new pasta recipe last night that turned out really well. It had a lemon garlic sauce with some fresh parsley and it was light but still filling. I think I'll add some cherry tomatoes next time for a bit more color and acidity. Let me know if you want the recipe.
