Hey we finally got around to rearranging the living room furniture last weekend and it made a bigger difference than I expected. We moved the sofa away from the wall and angled it toward the fireplace. Added a small reading chair near the window and a slim console table behind the sofa for lamps and books. The room feels much larger now and the flow is better for conversation. I also swapped out the old curtains for lighter linen ones which helped brighten the space. My partner was skeptical at first but now agrees it was a good change. We're thinking about adding a small rug to define the seating area. The whole project took maybe four hours including moving things around and vacuuming afterward. Anyway if you're free next weekend you should come see it.

I finally got around to trying that sourdough recipe you sent me last month. The starter took about 10 days to become active and bubbly. I fed it twice a day with equal parts flour and water. The first loaf came out a bit dense but the second one had a really nice crumb and crispy crust. I used a mix of bread flour and whole wheat. The key was letting it bulk ferment overnight in the fridge. The flavor developed so much more that way. I also tried adding some rosemary and sea salt on top before baking which gave it a nice savory note. My family devoured it within a day. I'm planning to bake another batch this weekend and maybe try a cinnamon raisin version. Thanks again for sharing the recipe it's become a new favorite. I've been sharing slices with neighbors too and they all want the recipe now.
