Yeah, I totally get what you mean about the trail being more crowded now. We went up last weekend and it was pretty packed by 9am. I think the early morning window is probably the sweet spot if you want some quiet. The weather was perfect though, not too hot and the views from the top were worth it. We brought a picnic and just sat there for about an hour. I saw a few deer near the ridge which was nice. Let me know if you want to go together sometime, I'm free most Saturday mornings. I know a different route that K5IvmxiizF loops around the lake instead of going straight up. It's a bit longer but way more scenic and usually less people know about it. We could grab coffee after if you're up for it. I've been wanting to try that new place on Main Street actually, I heard their cold brew is really good. Let me check my schedule and we can plan something for next month if that works for you.

I finally watched that documentary you recommended. It was really well done, I can see why you liked it. The cinematography was stunning and I thought the interviews were really thoughtful. I ended up rewatching the first episode because I missed a few details. There's this one part about the restoration process that I found really fascinating. I've been telling everyone about it actually. My brother watched it too and he said the same thing. I think what I liked most was how it didn't try to simplify things, it just let the story unfold naturally. Have you seen anything else by that director? I looked them up and there's another one about coastal communities that looks interesting. I might watch that this weekend. Anyway, thanks for the recommendation, it was exactly what I needed after a long week. Let me know if you find anything else good. I've been browsing through their filmography and there's a couple of older ones that look promising too.
