I was thinking about what you mentioned the other day regarding trying to find a good podcast to listen to during your commute. I have been really into this series that covers historical events but tells them like stories rather than just listing facts. It makes the drive go by much faster and I actually look forward to traffic now because I can keep listening. I started with the episode about the great emu war in Australia, which sounds fake but is completely real and hilarious. The host has a very calm voice and does really thorough research. I usually listen to two episodes per day and I am almost caught up. There are like fifty episodes so it should keep you busy for a while. Let me know if you want the name and I will text it to you.

I also found another podcast about urban planning that is surprisingly interesting. The host walks through different cities and explains why certain streets are laid out the way they are. I never thought I would care about zoning laws but here we are. It is amazing how much thought goes into things we walk past every day without noticing.

I finally organized my bookshelf over the weekend and found some old notebooks from college. It was fascinating to look back at my notes and see how much my handwriting has changed over the years. I also found a list of books I wanted to read that I completely forgot about. I have been trying to read more fiction lately instead of always picking up non-fiction. My coworker recommended a novel that takes place in a small coastal town and it has this slow, atmospheric vibe that I am really enjoying. I am about halfway through and I have no idea how it is going to end, which is rare for me because I usually figure it out early. I will let you borrow it when I am done if you are interested.

Also, I started attempting to bake sourdough bread from scratch. The starter takes forever to develop and my first loaf came out looking like a frisbee, but it tasted pretty good once I toasted it. I am going to try again this weekend with a different recipe.
