I tried that new hiking trail you mentioned last weekend. The views were incredible once we got past the first mile. The weather held up perfectly not a cloud in the sky. We packed sandwiches but forgot napkins so it got a little messy but that was part of the fun. The trailhead was easy to find with the directions you sent. There is a nice spot near the top where you can sit on a flat rock and just look out at the valley. We saw a family of deer on the way down. Really peaceful and quiet up there. I finally finished that book you loaned me a few months ago. The pacing was a bit slow in the middle but the ending made up for it. I kept thinking about the main character choices long after I put it down. There was one chapter in particular that felt like it was describing something I had experienced myself. The way the author described the garden scenes made me want to start planting things. I might try to find more by the same writer. I also liked how the chapters alternated between different time periods it kept me guessing. The paperback edition had those rough-cut pages that feel nice to hold.
