Hey, I’ve been meaning to ask — how did your garden turn out this year? I remember you were planting a bunch of tomatoes and peppers back in the spring. We tried growing basil and cilantro on our balcony and it was honestly a mixed bag. The basil did great but the cilantro bolted almost immediately. I've been reading that you need to trim it constantly if you want to keep it from going to seed. Anyway, I made a huge batch of pesto with our basil harvest and froze a few portions for the winter. So we finally did it — we adopted a kitten from the local shelter. Her name is Luna and she is absolutely fearless. She spent the first hour exploring every single corner of the apartment, and she’s already claimed the top of the bookshelf as her lookout spot. She’s still getting used to our schedule, but she's already learned where the food bowl is and she’s very vocal about it when it’s empty. The shelter said she was found wandering around downtown, so she’s got a bit of a streetwise attitude, but she’s incredibly sweet once she settles down. We’ve been buying way too many toys for her, but watching her chase a laser pointer is too entertaining. Anyway, I just wanted to share the news. Let me know if you want to come meet her.
