I think you're right about the hiking trail we took last weekend - the one near the lake was definitely better marked than the forest loop. I remember we almost missed the turnoff because the sign was hidden behind that big fallen tree. Next time I'll bring some bright tape to mark the path just in case. Also I wanted to ask if you've tried that new coffee shop downtown yet? I stopped in on Tuesday and their cold brew was surprisingly good. The barista recommended a Kenyan pour-over that had this really nice berry note. Anyway let me know if you want to go again this Saturday morning. The weather forecast looks clear and I could use a proper walk after sitting at my desk all week. BH4gNyN62Tp2yMz I also finally finished that book you lent me last month - the one about the history of mapmaking. Honestly I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. The chapter on early nautical charts was fascinating. I left it on your porch yesterday afternoon. Hope that was okay.

I finally got around to reorganizing my workshop last weekend and it feels like a completely different space now. I moved the workbench closer to the window for better natural light and hung a pegboard for all the frequently used tools. The biggest change was building a dedicated sharpening station near the sink - no more hunting for oil stones under piles of scrap wood. I also sorted all the fasteners into labeled jars which my wife says is the most organized she's ever seen that corner. Now I just need to figure out what to do with all the offcuts that have been piling up by the back door. Some of them are nice pieces of walnut and cherry that seem too good to throw away. I was thinking maybe I could make a few small cutting boards or maybe some coasters? If you have any ideas let me know. Also thanks again for the recommendation on that dust collection system - it made a huge difference especially when I'm sanding. I barely have to wear a mask now.
