Hey, that sounds like a solid plan. I finally got around to organizing the garage last weekend and it felt so good to clear out all the old boxes.
We ended up finding some vintage tools from my granddad that I didn't even know were still around. I cleaned them up and they actually work great.
My neighbor saw me out there and asked if I could help him with a similar project next month.
I told him sure, as long as he's got the coffee ready. I've been thinking about building a small workbench along the back wall, nothing fancy, just something sturdy for weekend projects.
The weather's been perfect for outdoor work lately, not too hot and not too cold. I picked up a few cool ideas from a workshop I attended last spring and I'm finally putting them to use.
Let me know when you want to swing by and take a look. I think you'd get a kick out of the setup. dfEHxy7XKvJgO1u

Yeah, I finally tried that sourdough starter recipe you sent me a few weeks ago.
It took about ten days to get really bubbly and active, but this morning I baked my first loaf and it actually turned out decent.
The crust was a little thicker than I wanted, but the inside was soft and had that tangy flavor I was hoping for.
I think I over-proofed it by about an hour, so next time I'll pull it earlier. I've been watching a bunch of videos from that baker you recommended and her technique for shaping is really clear.
My kitchen counter is still covered in flour, but it was worth it. I'm going to try a whole wheat version next weekend and maybe add some sesame seeds on top.
Let me know if you want me to save you a slice. I know you've been wanting to get into baking too. If you ever want to come over and watch the process, you're welcome anytime.
I found that using a kitchen scale instead of measuring cups made a huge difference in consistency.
