Retired schoolteacher Dan Sullivan from Petersburg, who hopes to unseat the U.S. senator of the same name, said Monday that he’s a legitimate Republican candidate who’s not trying to trick voters. Later that day, the office of Republican Lt. Gov. Nancy Dahlstrom said the state is opening an investigation into his candidacy.
