Hey thanks for getting back to me about next weekend. Saturday afternoon works best on my end if that's still open. I checked the forecast and it looks like the weather should cooperate so maybe we can do something outside if you're up for it. The trail system on the north side of town has been on my list to explore for a while now. Heard they added some new interpretive signs about the native plants in the area. Could be a nice way to spend a few hours if you're in the mood for a casual walk. I went past that little bookstore you mentioned last week and it was closed but the window display looked interesting. Might try again next Tuesday since they seem to be open later that day. Also I finally started reading that novel you lent me a few months ago and I'm really enjoying it so far. The pacing is quite different from what I usually read but the characters are well drawn. Let me know what you think about Saturday and we can firm up the details. Hope your week is off to a good start.

So I was catching up with an old friend the other day and we started talking about how much the downtown area has changed in the last decade or so. She reminded me about the little diner that used to be on the corner near the library where we would go after class sometimes. It closed down a few years ago and now there's a co-working space in that spot which feels completely different. We ended up pulling up old photos on our phones and comparing them to current street views which turned into a whole afternoon of reminiscing. It's funny how certain places hold such specific memories even when the physical space has transformed completely. I told her about the time we got caught in that sudden downpour and had to duck into the bookstore until it passed and she remembered it too which made us both laugh. The funny thing is neither of us lives in that town anymore but we both still think of it as home in a way. Anyway it was a good reminder to reach out more often even if it's just a quick text or a phone call. Hope you're having a calm week. Let's plan something soon.
