Yeah I finally got around to trying that new hiking trail you mentioned last month. Honestly it was a lot more challenging than I expected especially the middle section where the elevation really picks up. The views at the top were absolutely worth it though. I brought way too little water so next time I'll pack better. The wildflowers were starting to bloom which made the whole thing feel extra special. I ended up staying up there for about an hour just enjoying the quiet. You were right about the parking situation though I had to park about a quarter mile down the road. Next time I'll go earlier to get a closer spot. I'm already planning to go back next weekend maybe try a different route. Let me know if you want to join. Mh8a832BMyU I also stopped at that café on the way back and grabbed a sandwich which hit the spot perfectly.

I've been experimenting with that sourdough starter you gave me and it's actually turning out really well. The first loaf was a bit flat but the second one had a great rise and nice crusty exterior. I've been feeding it every day and it's developing this really complex tangy flavor. My kitchen smells amazing all the time now. I tried adding some rosemary and sea salt to the last batch and it was incredible. I'm thinking of trying a cinnamon raisin version next. The timing is still tricky for me especially fitting the bulk fermentation around my work schedule. But I'm getting the hang of it. I've been sharing loaves with neighbors and they keep asking for more. You should come over and grab one while they're still warm. I also found a really good YouTube channel that walks through every step in detail which helped a ton.
