Yeah, I finally tried that pasta recipe you sent me last week. It turned out OAi6m56ghUdDZY6 pretty well actually. I was a bit nervous about the sauce because I've never made it from scratch before, but it came together nicely. I think next time I'll add a bit more garlic though, you know me. The fresh basil really made a difference too. I found some at the farmer's market on Saturday. Oh, and I used that cheese grater you recommended instead of the pre-shredded stuff. Night and day difference honestly. Let me know if you want me to send you the tweaked version I ended up with. I wrote it down on a sticky note somewhere in the kitchen. Anyway, I was thinking we could do a cooking night sometime soon if you're free. Maybe next weekend? I'll pick up the ingredients and you can bring that wine you like. Just let me know what day works for you.
Also, I tried that olive oil you brought back from your trip. It's really good. I've been using it on salads mostly but I think it would work great as a finishing oil on roasted vegetables too. Let me know if you have any other recipes that use it.

So I finally watched that documentary you recommended. Took me a while to get around to it but I'm glad I did. Some of the scenes were really beautifully shot, especially the ones in the early morning light. I didn't know half the things they covered in it, which was a pleasant surprise. Usually I end up checking my phone halfway through things but this one kept my attention the whole way. I've been telling a few other people about it too actually. Anyway, let me know if you've come across anything else good lately. I'm in the mood for something lighter next though, that one was pretty heavy in parts.
I also started reading that book you left at my place last month. About halfway through now and it's really picking up. The first few chapters were a bit slow but now I can't put it down. Typical, right? I'll drop it back off when I'm done. Hope you're having a good week so far. Let's catch up properly soon.
