I was telling my sister about that trail we did last weekend and she wants to join next time. The weather was perfect and the views at the summit were incredible. We packed sandwiches and sat on the rocks for lunch. I think we covered about eight miles total which felt just right for a day hike. She asked if it was too strenuous for her kids but honestly with some breaks they would manage fine. The wildflowers are starting to bloom now so it's a great time to go. I checked the park website and they said the loop is open again after the maintenance closure. Let me know if you want to come along next Saturday KLksLM1OPnjaX I can drive since my car handles the dirt road better. We could make a full day of it and stop for ice cream on the way back.

Hey so I finally tried that pasta dish you mentioned and it turned out really well. I added a bit more garlic than the recipe called for because you know I can’t help myself when it comes to garlic. The sauce came together in about twenty minutes which was perfect for a weeknight when I didn’t have much time. I served it with a simple side salad and some crusty bread that I warmed in the oven. My partner went back for seconds which is always a good sign in our house. I think next time I might try adding some mushrooms or maybe some roasted cherry tomatoes for a bit of sweetness. The original recipe was pretty basic but it’s a great base to build on and customize. Let me know if you have any other recommendations I should try sometime I’m always looking for new ideas to mix up our dinner rotation.
