Oh, I totally forgot to tell you about the hiking trip last weekend! We decided last minute to try that trail near the lake. The weather was perfect, not too hot. We packed some sandwiches and just took our time. Saw a deer about halfway through the trail, which was amazing. The leaves are just starting to turn, so the views were stunning. We sat by the water for about an hour just chatting and skipping stones. It was exactly the kind of reset I needed. You should definitely come next time. I'll send you the trail details. It's an easy to moderate hike, maybe four miles round trip. Very doable for a Saturday morning.

I was just thinking about that recipe you sent last week. I finally tried it yesterday and it turned out great! Added a bit more garlic and used fresh basil from the garden. It really made a difference. We had it with a side salad and some crusty bread. I'm definitely adding it to the regular rotation. Also, I finally started watching that show you recommended. I'm only three episodes in, but it's really picking up. The cinematography is gorgeous. Some of the characters are a bit frustrating, but I think that's intentional.
