Hey, I finally got around to trying that hiking trail we talked about last month. The weather was perfect, not too hot, just a bit of a breeze at the summit. We packed a simple lunch and ended up staying for hours just watching the clouds roll by. It was exactly the kind of reset I needed. Let me know if you want to come along next time. I took a few photos but they really don't do the view justice. There's something about being up there that just puts everything in perspective. Anyway, thought I'd share. Hope you're doing great!

Also, I've been reading this pretty interesting fiction series set in a futuristic city. The world-building is incredible, lots of intricate details about how the society operates. It's a bit of a slow burn in the first half, but the payoff in the second book is totally worth it. Reminds me a bit of that show we used to watch, but a lot more grounded. Let me know if you want me to send you the title.

Oh, I nearly forgot to mention, I tried making sourdough from scratch last weekend. It was a complete experiment and I honestly didn't expect it to turn out edible. But it was actually pretty decent! The crust was a bit thicker than I'd like, but the inside was soft and tangy. I used a starter I've been feeding for a couple of weeks now. It's kind of become a fun little routine, takes my mind off things. I think I'll try adding some herbs next time, maybe rosemary and sea salt.

On another note, I've been helping my neighbor set up his new laptop. He's not very tech-savvy, so it's been a slow process explaining how cloud storage works versus just saving files locally. We got there eventually, though. He's thrilled he can finally video chat with his grandkids without any issues. It's the small victories, right? Anyway, just thought I'd share a bit of what I've been up to. Hope you're having a good week!
