I finally got around to trying that new coffee shop on Elm. The cold brew was surprisingly smooth and they have these little outdoor tables in the back. It was pretty quiet around 2pm which was nice. I brought my laptop intending to get some work done but ended up just reading a book instead. Have you been there yet? We should definitely go together sometime next week if you're free. Thanks for the recommendation on the hiking trail. We took the dog there on Saturday morning and it was perfect. Not too crowded and the shade along the path made it bearable even around noon. There was a small creek near the turnaround point where he could splash around a bit. We'll definitely be going back. Let me know if you find any other hidden gems like that one. I'm trying to get out more on the weekends instead of just doing chores around the house. It makes a big difference for my mood honestly. I've been feeling a lot better getting some fresh air and sunlight. The trail was about three miles round trip which was just right for a morning outing.
