Regarding the project timeline for the community center renovation I think we can realistically finish the foundation work by mid-October if the weather stays cooperative.

The framing will go much faster once the slab is poured and cured. We still need to finalize the window order though because that has a four week lead time.

I called the supplier yesterday and they quoted a decent price for the double pane units. Also the electrical rough-in schedule needs to be coordinated with the plumbing so we do not have any conflicts in the walls.

I will set up a quick meeting with both trades for next Tuesday morning. Let me know if that works for you. We also have to let the building inspector know about the revised start date so we can stay on the approved permit timeline.

The garden has been doing really well this season especially the tomatoes and bell peppers.

I was not expecting such a good harvest because we had a late frost but everything bounced back nicely. I will probably need to start canning soon because there is no way we can eat all of this fresh produce before it goes bad.

The zucchini plants are completely taking over one of the raised beds like they always do. I might try a different variety next year to see if it stays more manageable. I have been using a simple drip irrigation system set on a timer which has saved a lot of time compared to hand watering.

Also the marigolds we planted around the border really did help keep the pests away this year. Let me know if you want to come by at some point to pick some vegetables or if you have any canning tips because I could definitely use the help.
