Hey, thanks for following up on that. I finally got around to checking the garden this morning and the tomatoes are actually starting to ripen. The weather has been pretty unpredictable but the plants seem to be holding up. I mulched around them last weekend and that seems to have helped with moisture. I also noticed some new blooms on the roses, which is a good sign. I think the fertilizer I used might have made a difference. I'll send you a photo later so you can see. Let me know if you want some seeds from the heirloom variety I got. They are supposed to be really flavorful. I also started some basil from seed and it's coming along nicely. We should plan a cookout soon. eTcE8HurRzei I was thinking of trying that new marinade recipe you mentioned. Anyway, just wanted to share. Talk soon.

I saw your message about the book club meeting. I finally finished the novel you recommended. The ending caught me by surprise, but I think it worked. The author's style is really unique, lots of short chapters and shifting perspectives. I might try another one from that series. Also, I wanted to ask about the hiking trail you mentioned last week. I was thinking of going this Saturday if the weather holds. Do you think it's too muddy after the rain? I checked the forecast and it looks mostly clear. Let me know if you want to join. I'll pack some snacks. There's a nice viewpoint about halfway. I remember you said the incline is moderate, so should be doable. I'll bring extra water just in case. Write back when you can.
