I think the best approach for Saturday is to start prepping the side dishes around noon so we have plenty of time before everyone arrives. The new potato salad recipe I mentioned last week turned out well when I tested it. Let me know if you want me to bring extra serving bowls or if you need help with the grill timing. We should also confirm who is bringing dessert so we don end up with duplicates. I can pick up a few bags of ice and some sparkling water if that helps.

Thanks for the note about the neighborhood garden plan. I measured the beds yesterday and we have about 18 feet of usable space along the south fence. I think we should plant tomatoes along the back row and then peppers and herbs in the front so everything gets enough sun. The soil test showed slightly acidic ph which is fine for most vegetables. I can bring compost on Thursday if that works for you. Also the HOA board mentioned they would approve raised beds as long as we keep them under 30 inches tall. Let me know if you want to meet Saturday morning to map out the layout.
