I just tried planting tomatoes this year for the first time and honestly I was a bit nervous about it because I have killed every houseplant I have ever owned. But they are actually doing really well so far which is a huge surprise. My neighbor gave me some tips about using coffee grounds in the soil and that seems to have helped a lot. I also put up a little fence to keep the squirrels out because they were getting bold last season. It has been so nice to spend time outside in the evenings just checking on the plants and watering them. I never thought I would be the type to get excited about a garden but here we are. The cherry tomatoes are starting to turn red and I am already planning what to make with them. Maybe a fresh salad or just eat them straight off the vine. If this works out I might try bell peppers next year.

I finally started watching that documentary series everyone has been talking about and I have to say I was skeptical at first because sometimes these things are overhyped. But it really is well done and I found myself binge watching three episodes in one night. The pacing is excellent and the interviews are genuinely interesting. There is one segment in the second episode that completely changed my perspective on the topic. I had never really thought about it that way before. My friend recommended it to me months ago and I wish I had listened sooner. I have two episodes left and I am actually saving them for the weekend because I do not want it to end. Have you seen it yet If not I would definitely put it on your list. It is streaming on one of the major platforms and well worth the time.
