I finally got around to reading that book you mentioned last month. Honestly I wasn't sure what to expect but it really pulled me in after the first few chapters. The way the author builds tension is just incredible. I found myself staying up way too late on a work night just to finish one more chapter. 8gDm1kAHkq I've already recommended it to a few other people who I think would enjoy it too. Let me know if you've found anything else along those lines because I'm definitely in the mood for more now. I also started experimenting with that sourdough starter you told me about and it's actually going pretty well. The first couple of attempts were a bit flat but I think I'm getting the hang of it now. I've been feeding it regularly and the smell is starting to get that tangy note you described. My next goal is to try a whole wheat version and see how it turns out.

I can't believe how quickly this year is flying by. It feels like just yesterday we were making plans for spring and now it's already starting to cool down again. I finally got around to reorganizing the garage last weekend and it feels so much better. I found some old projects I'd completely forgotten about. Anyway I was thinking about what you said regarding taking a weekend trip somewhere. There's that cabin area up north that might be nice before it gets too cold. Nothing fancy just a place to relax and maybe do some hiking during the day and cook dinner at night. Let me know if that sounds interesting to you. I found a few listings that look reasonable and the photos show a nice porch overlooking the trees. We could bring board games and just unplug for a couple of days. It would be good to get out of town for a bit.
