Hey, thanks for asking! The hike up Mount Marcy was incredible but definitely tougher than I expected. We started at 5 AM to catch the sunrise from the summit, and the trail was pretty muddy from the rain the night before. I ended up slipping on a wet root near the top and completely soaked my left boot in a stream. YMzoUJHgNkQ0fOv The views from the top made it totally worth it though. The fall foliage was just starting to turn, so we got these amazing patches of red and gold stretching out across the valleys. We packed turkey and avocado sandwiches and ate them sitting on this huge flat rock overlooking the lake. Coming down was rough on the knees, and I could barely walk the next day, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Definitely need to invest in some better waterproof gear before the next one though. Maybe some gaiters too. I'll send you a picture of the summit view!

You won't believe what my cat did yesterday. I was working from home and had a really important video call with the whole leadership team. Right in the middle of my introduction, she jumps onto the desk, knocks over a full mug of coffee onto my keyboard, and then just sits there licking her paw like nothing happened. I scrambled to mute myself and unplug the keyboard, but the damage was done. My boss just saw me on the screen with this look of pure panic holding a soaking wet keyboard. Luckily I had an old one in the closet, but I lost the entire first half of the meeting trying to set it up while apologizing in the chat. She's lucky she's cute. Honestly, it's impressive how they always manage to cause chaos at the most perfectly inconvenient times. She usually just naps all day, but the moment I have an important call, it's showtime.
