I have been thinking about starting a small herb garden on the balcony since I do not have much yard space but plenty of sun exposure. The pots arrived last week and I picked up some soil and seeds from the local nursery. The lady there recommended basil and chives for beginners so that is what I went with. If yours did well I would love to hear what varieties you ended up choosing and any tips you picked up along the way.
