I completely agree with your take on that book. The character development was incredible, especially the way the author tied everything together in the last few chapters. I had to read the ending a couple of times just to really appreciate the layers in the story. It's one of those narratives that stays with you for days after finishing it. I actually recommended it to my sister, who usually doesn't read that genre, and she loved it too which was a nice surprise. Were there any parts that you thought were a bit slow in the middle though? I felt the pacing dragged slightly in the third chapter, but the final payoff was totally worth it.
