Hey there — I ended up taking your advice about that book club. I joined the one at the library downtown and it's actually way more fun than I expected. We met last Tuesday and the discussion ran almost an hour over because nobody wanted to leave. The moderator brings these really thoughtful questions and keeps things moving without being pushy. Oh I totally forgot to tell you — I tried that new bistro on the corner of Oak and 5th. The one with the blue awning. Honestly it was really good. I had the grilled chicken wrap and it came with these crispy seasoned wedges that were perfect. The service was a little slow but the food made up for it. I'm definitely going back to try the breakfast menu, I heard their pancakes are huge.
Also I finally swapped out the old cabinet handles in the kitchen. Found a set of brushed nickel ones at the hardware store and it took me maybe an hour to replace all eight. Such a small change but it makes the whole room look more modern. Let me know if you need help with yours, I've got the screwdriver set ready to go. Next up I think I'll tackle the hallway light fixture.
