I finally watched that documentary you recommended last week. Honestly I was skeptical at first because the subject matter seemed a bit dry but it turned out to be really fascinating. The way they wove together the different storylines was impressive and I learned a lot I had never known before. You were right that the pacing was excellent for a documentary of that length. I've already started reading more about the topic and found a few books that dive deeper into it. Thanks for the recommendation it was definitely worth the time. I'll have to send you my list of documentaries I've enjoyed to see if you've seen any of them. The cinematography especially stood out to me and I thought the soundtrack was perfectly understated. We should watch the follow-up episode together sometime if you're interested. Let me know what you think after you finish the second part I think you'll enjoy how it expands on the original themes. tnkkVh1ozp It really opened my eyes to a perspective I hadn't considered before.

So I finally tackled that backyard cleanup I've been putting off for months. It took most of Saturday but honestly it felt great to get it done. I pulled out a bunch of overgrown vines and trimmed back the bushes near the fence line. Found an old bird's nest in one of the trees that must have been there for years. The space looks so much bigger now and I'm thinking about putting in a small fire pit area maybe next spring. I'll send you some photos once I have it looking presentable. It's amazing how a little bit of effort can transform a space you see every day. I also found some old gardening tools I forgot I had so that was a nice bonus. Let me know if you want to come over and check it out sometime. I think you'd be surprised by the difference.
