That hike you mentioned sounds like a solid plan. I checked the trail conditions yesterday and the path is well-marked but there are a couple of stream crossings that could be slippery after rain. I think we should aim for an early start, maybe around 6:30 AM, to avoid the afternoon heat and crowds. The elevation gain is roughly 1,200 feet across the first two miles, so it is moderate but nothing too steep. I will bring extra water and some granola bars for everyone. Let me know if you think we should adjust the route or if anyone else wants to join. I can also check whether the parking area requires a reservation or a pass ahead of time. The weather forecast looks mostly clear with a slight chance of afternoon showers, so I will pack a light jacket just in case. Looking forward to it.

Regarding the workshop layout, I measured the space again and I think we can fit the workbench along the back wall with the shelving on the side. The total square footage is around 180, which gives us enough room for the main table and still have walking space. I was thinking we could install a pegboard above the workbench for tool storage and put a small rolling cart under the table for the heavier equipment. The lighting situation is good with the overhead fixtures, but I might add a task light near the sharpening station. Let me know if you want to come by this weekend to help arrange the layout. I should have the workbench assembled by Friday evening, and I can pick up the shelving units on Thursday after work. The paint for the walls is already in the garage, so we can tackle that if time allows.
