I think the best approach would be to check the weather before we head out on Saturday. I was looking at the forecast and it seems like it might rain in the afternoon. If we leave early around 7 AM we can get most of the hiking done before the weather turns. The trailhead parking fills up fast so arriving before 8 would be ideal. Bring your waterproof jacket just in case. I packed some sandwiches and snacks for the group. Let me know if anyone has dietary restrictions I should account for. John said he might bring his dog if that is okay with everyone. We should also bring plenty of water since the trail has limited shade. I will send a reminder on Friday evening.

I ended up going with the blue paint for the living room after all. It took three samples before I found the right shade that worked with the furniture. The process was more involved than I expected but the result looks really good. My neighbor helped me with the cutting in around the ceiling and baseboards. We used a semigloss finish for the trim and a matte finish for the walls. The whole project took about two days including drying time between coats. I still need to touch up a few spots near the window frame but overall I am happy with how it turned out. The new color makes the room feel much larger and brighter. I am glad I took the time to get it right.
