My sister just got back from her trip up north and she said the weather was perfect the whole time. Not too hot and hardly any rain which is rare for that area in July. She brought back some local honey and handmade soap from a little farm stand she found.
I finally started organizing the garage last weekend and got through three boxes before I ran out of steam. Found some old photo albums from college which was fun to look through but also a major distraction. Might need to set a timer next time so I actually finish the job.

I was telling my neighbor about that book you recommended and she actually already read it last year. She loved it too and said the ending caught her completely off guard. We ended up talking for like an hour about other books we have enjoyed recently.
Speaking of neighbors we had a small tree come down in the backyard during that last storm. Nothing hit the house thankfully but it crushed part of the fence along the back property line. My neighbor came over right away and helped me cut it up and stack the wood. He said he could use the firewood for his fire pit so it worked out well for both of us.
I have been trying to get outside more in the evenings now that the days are longer. Even just sitting on the porch for twenty minutes after dinner helps me unwind. The birds have been really active this time of year and I finally saw a pair of cardinals that have been visiting the feeder.
Let me know if you want to borrow that drill I mentioned. It is just sitting in my garage and I am not using it anytime soon. Happy to drop it off whenever you are around.
