Hey! I finally got around to packing for the trip. I found that old tent you lent me last year – it's still in perfect shape. We should definitely hit the trails again before the season changes. I was thinking maybe the Blue Ridge loop? It's about a 4-hour drive but totally worth it. Let me know what you think about the dates. I'm free most weekends except the first one in August. Anyway, no rush to decide. Hope you're doing well. Say hi to the family for me! We should grab coffee next week if you have time. Oh, I also started reading that book you recommended. The plot is really engaging so far. I'll let you know what I think when I finish it. Let's plan something soon!

I can't believe how fast this year has gone by. Feels like just yesterday we were planning the summer barbecue. Time really flies when you stay busy. Anyway, looking forward to catching up properly.

I tried making sourdough from scratch last weekend. It came out better than I expected, although the first loaf was a bit dense. The second one had a nice airy crumb though. You wouldn't believe how much flour I went through just practicing. I used a starter from my neighbor, she's been keeping one alive for years. There's something really satisfying about the whole process. Maybe I'll bring a loaf to the potluck next month if you're going. Let me know if you want me to save you the recipe. I tweaked it a bit with some whole wheat flour and a touch of honey.

It's actually quite therapeutic to work with dough. Helps me disconnect from screens for a bit. Anyway, hope you're doing great and staying warm. Let's catch up properly soon.
