I was just thinking about that time we went to the farmers market and you bought way too many peaches and then had to bake like five pies. Honestly I don't think I've ever seen that many peaches in one place before or since. It was such a gorgeous afternoon though and the live band was actually decent which never happens at those things. Anyway I finally tried that salsa recipe you sent me last month and it turned out pretty good but I added a bit too much cilantro and it kind of took over the whole thing. Next time I'll use half what the recipe calls for. Are you still coming to the show next Saturday? I can pick you up if you need a ride just let me know what time works. You know I finally started that podcast you recommended and I'm honestly kicking myself for waiting so long. The first three episodes flew by and I kept wanting to hit play on the next one immediately. The way they break down each topic is really engaging and I love the sound design they use for transitions. I told my brother about it and he binged the whole first season in two days. Anyway I was thinking about what you said regarding the book club selection and I actually agree that the pacing slows down in the middle but I think the ending makes up for it. The author really sticks the landing in my opinion and that last chapter had me tearing up on the train. I finished it last night and I'm still thinking about it this morning which is always a good sign. Let me know what you decide for next month's pick.
