I finally checked out that trail up near Silver Falls. The weather was perfect, not too hot, and the falls were absolutely roaring after all that rain we had. I packed a simple lunch, found a nice spot by the river, and just sat there for an hour reading my book. It's amazing how being out in the woods just resets everything. I'm definitely planning to go back next weekend to try the longer loop that goes around the ridge. A friend told me the views of the valley from the top are incredible in the fall when the leaves start changing. I'll need to bring a bit more water and maybe some snacks for that one since it's about six miles round trip. Hope you're having a good week too.
