oh i finally figured out the settings on that camera i bought last spring. turns out i had the white balance locked on a preset that made everything look too warm. no wonder my outdoor shots looked off. i switched it to auto and the difference is night and day. also i tried that new hiking trail near the reservoir on saturday and it was gorgeous — about four miles with a gentle incline and a creek running alongside most of the way. perfect for a relaxed afternoon. let me know if you want the trailhead directions. also my neighbor is giving away cuttings from her monstera if you want one.
