Hey! So sorry for the late reply. Things have been absolutely crazy over here with the new puppy and all. She's getting into everything, you know how it is. I did manage to get out to that trail we talked about last Saturday morning. It was gorgeous. The leaves are just starting to change color a bit near the summit, and there's a crispness in the air that makes you feel alive. We packed a simple lunch and just sat by the creek for an hour or so. Oh, the shelf turned out way better than I expected, honestly. I was a little worried because the instructions were translated from another language, I think, but once I laid out all the pieces it started to make sense. The hardest part was getting the brackets perfectly level on the wall. I must have measured the studs five times. In the end, I stained it with a dark walnut color and it matches the rest of the living room furniture perfectly. My partner was impressed, which is always a bonus. I used a new brand of clamps that were surprisingly good for the price. Let me know if you want to borrow them for your bookshelf project.
